Terms and conditions
Last updated: September 2026
1. Scope
These Terms & Conditions apply to services offered under the Crispin's Selection® brand by:
Crispin Augustine Works
Owner: Crispin John Augustine
Earhart-strasse 16
8152 Glattpark
Switzerland
Email: contact@crispins-selection.com
Services may include educational seminars, guided tastings, private events, hospitality consulting, whisky collection curation, menu and tasting concept development, staff education and other collaborative or commissioned projects.
By purchasing a ticket, commissioning a service or otherwise entering into an agreement with Crispin Augustine Works, the customer accepts the applicable Terms & Conditions.
Where a separate written agreement, accepted quotation or project-specific terms have been agreed, those provisions take precedence over these Terms & Conditions in the event of any conflict.
2. Offers and formation of contracts
Offers and quotations from Crispin Augustine Works describe the proposed scope of work, deliverables, price and, where applicable, estimated timing and other project-specific conditions.
A contract is formed when an offer or quotation is accepted, a service is otherwise confirmed by both parties, or a ticket or other service is purchased through a designated booking platform.
Unless otherwise stated, quotations are valid for the period specified in the respective quotation.
3. Prices, invoicing and payment
Prices and payment conditions are those stated in the relevant offer, quotation, invoice, booking page or other agreement.
For commissioned services, invoices are payable within the payment period stated on the invoice.
Any additional expenses, materials, travel or third-party costs will be charged only where included in the agreed scope or otherwise agreed with the customer.
Discount codes and promotional prices are subject to their stated conditions and cannot normally be applied retrospectively to completed purchases.
4. Hospitality, consulting and collaborative services
Hospitality, consulting, curation and collaborative services are provided according to the scope agreed with the customer.
The customer is responsible for providing information, access, materials and decisions reasonably required for Crispin Augustine Works to perform the agreed services.
Recommendations concerning whisky collections, menus, tasting concepts, guest experiences or related matters represent professional and creative judgement based on the information and circumstances available at the time.
Unless expressly agreed otherwise, no particular commercial, financial or operational result is guaranteed.
5. Changes to commissioned services
Requests that materially change or extend the agreed scope of a commissioned service may require an adjustment to the price, deliverables or timeline.
Where a proposed change has a material effect on the agreed work, the relevant adjustment will be communicated and agreed before the additional work is undertaken.
6. Cancellation of commissioned services
Cancellation conditions for commissioned services may be specified in the relevant quotation or agreement.
Where no specific cancellation conditions have been agreed, the customer remains responsible for services already performed and for reasonable, non-recoverable expenses or third-party commitments incurred in connection with the agreed work before cancellation.
Crispin Augustine Works will take reasonable steps to limit avoidable costs following cancellation.
7. Event bookings and tickets
Tickets for Crispin's Selection events may be sold through Eventfrog or another designated booking platform.
An event booking becomes binding once the purchase has been completed and confirmed by the relevant booking platform.
Tickets are valid only for the event, date and ticket category stated on the ticket.
Any conditions of the booking or payment platform also apply to the use of that platform.
8. Cancellation by participants
Purchased event tickets are generally non-refundable.
If a participant is unable to attend, they may contact Crispin Augustine Works to request a cancellation or ticket transfer. Any cancellation, transfer or refund is subject to approval and may be subject to processing costs.
Any cancellation or refund options offered directly by the booking platform remain unaffected.
9. Cancellation or postponement of an event
Crispin Augustine Works reserves the right to cancel or postpone an event where reasonably necessary, including due to illness, insufficient participation, venue unavailability or circumstances beyond reasonable control.
If an event is cancelled by Crispin Augustine Works, ticket holders will be informed and the ticket price will be refunded or, where agreed with the participant, transferred to another event.
If an event is postponed, ticket holders will be informed of the new date and the available options.
10. Changes to the programme
Whiskies, wines, speakers, tasting samples, timings or other elements of an event may occasionally need to be changed due to availability or other circumstances.
Crispin Augustine Works may make reasonable substitutions or adjustments while seeking to preserve the overall character, quality and educational purpose of the event.
Minor programme changes do not in themselves entitle participants to a refund.
11. Age and responsible participation
Events involving alcoholic beverages are open only to persons aged 18 or over, unless explicitly stated otherwise.
Proof of age may be requested.
Participation in alcoholic tastings is voluntary. Participants are responsible for deciding whether and how much alcohol they consume and are encouraged to taste responsibly.
Crispin Augustine Works reserves the right to refuse further service of alcohol or, where necessary, admission or continued participation where this is reasonably required for safety or the appropriate conduct of the event.
12. Conduct and venue rules
Participants are expected to behave respectfully towards other participants, presenters, staff and the venue.
Applicable venue rules and reasonable instructions from the organiser or venue staff must be followed.
Crispin Augustine Works reserves the right to require a participant to leave an event in cases of serious misconduct, unsafe behaviour or significant disruption. In such cases, there is no entitlement to a refund.
13. Allergies and individual requirements
Participants are responsible for informing Crispin Augustine Works in advance of any relevant allergies, intolerances or other requirements where these may affect their participation.
While reasonable efforts will be made to accommodate communicated requirements, the absence of allergens or other substances cannot be guaranteed unless expressly confirmed.
14. Intellectual property and use of materials
Educational materials, tasting concepts, flight structures, written content, presentations, graphics, methodologies and other original materials created or provided by Crispin Augustine Works or under the Crispin's Selection® brand remain protected by applicable intellectual property rights.
Unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing, commissioning a service does not transfer ownership of Crispin Augustine Works' pre-existing materials, methodologies, concepts, brand assets or intellectual property to the customer.
Where materials or concepts are developed for a customer, the customer may use them for the purpose and within the scope agreed for the relevant project.
Any exclusivity, transfer of rights or broader commercial use must be expressly agreed in writing.
Materials provided to event participants are intended for personal use and may not be reproduced, published, distributed or used commercially without prior permission.
Photography, video recording, audio recording or other reproduction of presentation slides or presentation content is not permitted without prior permission from Crispin Augustine Works.
Photography during events is otherwise permitted where appropriate, provided that it does not disrupt the event or infringe the privacy of other participants.
15. Confidentiality
Where confidential or non-public information is exchanged in connection with a commissioned project or collaboration, both parties are expected to treat such information confidentially and not disclose it to third parties except where necessary for the performance of the agreed services or where disclosure is required by law.
Specific confidentiality requirements may be agreed separately for individual projects.
16. Third-party services and suppliers
Crispin Augustine Works may work with venues, guest experts, suppliers, booking platforms or other third-party service providers in connection with its services.
Where a customer enters directly into a contractual relationship with a third party, that relationship is governed by the terms applicable between the customer and that third party.
Crispin Augustine Works is not responsible for the independent acts or omissions of third parties except where responsibility arises under applicable law.
17. Liability
Crispin Augustine Works is responsible for the proper performance of the services it has agreed to provide.
Liability is governed by applicable Swiss law.
To the extent permitted by law, Crispin Augustine Works is not liable for losses or damage resulting from circumstances outside its reasonable control, inaccurate or incomplete information supplied by a customer, or a participant's failure to follow reasonable safety instructions.
Participants remain responsible for their personal belongings.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by applicable law.
18. Data protection
Personal data is processed in accordance with the Privacy Policy published on this website.
Where external platforms or service providers are used, their own privacy terms may also apply to personal data processed independently by them.
19. Applicable law
These Terms & Conditions and contractual relationships with Crispin Augustine Works are governed by Swiss law.
Any mandatory rights or legal provisions remain unaffected.
20. Changes to these Terms & Conditions
Crispin Augustine Works may update these Terms & Conditions where necessary.
The version applicable to a particular booking or commissioned service is the version in effect when the relevant contract is concluded.
